A few days ago, I visited the Senbon Shaka-dō Temple (千本釈迦堂) or Daihōon-ji Temple (大報恩寺) in Kamigyo-ku ward of Kyoto. The Senbon Shaka-dō Temple was founded in1227 and the main hall is the oldest structure in Kyoto. Inside the Reihōkan treasure house you can find many National Treasures and Important Cultural Properties of Japan.
